Lloyd Gyi – vocals, drums

Ambassadors-avatar-squareBorn in Rangoon, Burma, drummer and percussionist Lloyd migrated to Perth in 1971 and then moved to Sydney in 1987. Performing and recording professionally for the past 30 years, Lloyd has worked with numerous bands and artists on a local, national and international level. He has also undertaken several world tours and more recently performed sell out shows at the Sydney Opera House with highly acclaimed, award winning contemporary flamenco ensemble “Arrebato.”

Besides live performances with such diverse performers as Joeys Coop, Perry Keyes, Counting Crows, Skyhooks, Barry Leef, Jimmy Barnes, David Campbell and Glenn Shorrock, his credits also include such highlights as working with the legendary Lionel Ritchie; UK number 1 sensation, Natasha Beddingfield; and Danielle Spencer on a number of national Australian television programmes.

Martin Cilia – guitar

martin-bioMartin is widely regarded as one of Australia’s best guitarists. He’s known worldwide as Australia’s King of the Surf Guitar, with 5 solo albums under his belt, as well as member of legendary surf band The Atlantics. Martin is a versatile player who is as well versed in jazz as rock, surf or swing music. He’s currently touring as a member of Mental As Anything.

Rex Goh – guitar

rex-gohRex has been a band member of various groups including Air Supply, QED, and Eurogliders. He has toured and recorded as a session guitarist with Savage Garden, Randy Crawford, Tom Jones, Guy Sebastian and Daryl Braithwaite. As a producer Goh has worked on albums for Tania Bowra, The Robertson Brothers and Rene Diaz.

Dan Johnson – guitar

Alex Hewetson – bass

alex-bioAlex has long been one of this country’s most sought after bass players equally at home with a variety of musical genres, ranging from funk and soul through to cutting edge jazz. The original bass player in the highly successful 90’s jazz groove outfit D.I.G, Alexander also played and recorded with funksters Swoop between 1992 and 1998.

Alex is a founding member of the Acid Jazz band DIG – Directions In Groove which started in 1991, and was a core member of “Swoop” which had top ten success with the song “Apple Eyes”. Alex currently features with artists such as Steve Clisby, Jackie Orszaczky and Tina Harrod and has been an in demand session player for many years, recording with the likes of Savage Garden, Guy Sebastian, Professor Groove and Baecastuff to name just a few.

Mike Gubb – keyboards

mike-gubbMike Gubb has worked with a number of Australian bands, including the Dynamic Hepnotics, Mental As Anything, Ganggajang, The Whitlams and Dog Trumpet.
